I attended CAMP as a camper for the first time when I was in the 6th grade. Because I fell so in love with CAMP, in what we stand for, and for who we are, I continued my journey from camper to Jr. Staff, to staff, to Co-Director. My professional gig is teaching senior English Literature and Theatre in Berkeley Springs, WV, where I live with my husband and two children. I am constantly planning on the upcoming week throughout the year and just waiting to be back in Huttonsville with my church family. This place is a second home to my family and me. I feel a closeness with God that I yearn for when I am away for too long.

I am a middle school teacher and mom of two amazing kids. CAMP has been my favorite place in the world since I was 10, which is why I haven’t missed a year and my own kids have been going since they were babies! I love our CAMP family and how it grows every year, the feeling of being close to God in nature and the exciting activities that we get to experience together. I can’t wait to see everyone!

I've been attending C.A.M.P. since I was 11 years old. This place and the wonderful people are apart of C.A.M.P. have become my family. I'm currently a special education teacher in Oregon and fly home every summer for camp and now get to share the magic of camp with my daughter.

I've been going to CAMP since I was 7 years old. It is something I look forward to every year, it's like home away from home. With family and friends it's never the same. There's same thing new every year, new friends, activities, games, and stories around campfires.

Abbey Eye
Hi, Abbey here.
I have been traveling to CAMP Wade every year since I was 10 years old. I come back and volunteer my time every summer because of the wonderful friendships, memories and experiences I gained throughout my years as a camper. C.A.M.P. was a huge turning point in my faith and in my walk with Christ. as well.
My favorite CAMP activity has always been canoes and zip-line, which is where you’ll find me most every year! Nothing says summer than splash battles and zipping across the pond.

I have been coming to CAMP since 1996 I think. Got involved because my great uncle was a priest in West Virginia and invited me to come. I take the 13,14,and 15 year olds backpacking. I enjoy running, training my dogs, hiking and backpacking in my spare time. I am a veterinarian in Cincinnati, Ohio and belong to Our lord Christ the King Church.

I've been attending C.A.M.P. since 2010 and this program means the world to me. I've been apart of many activities here including: archery, zipline, canoes, sports, field day, and a dorm counselor. C.A.M.P. is considered by many of us to be our "home away from home" which is a testament to just how much of an impact this program has had on all of us. I look forward to sharing the awesome experience that is C.A.M.P. Wade with all of you this summer, and for many summers to come.
